GEW Mechanical installs Clean Light-Green Light products. They are the recognized global leader in LED lighting technology for commercial and Industrial lighting products for new installations and Retrofitting existing fixtures.
Long-lasting- LED bulbs last up to 10 times as long as compact fluorescent, and far longer than typical incandescent.
Durable- since LED's do not have a filament, they are not damaged under circumstances when a regular incandescent bulb would be broken. Because they are solid, LED bulbs hold up well to jarring and bumping.
Cool- these bulbs do not cause heat build-up; LEDs produce 3.4 Btu's/hour, compared to 85 for incandescent bulbs. This also cuts down on air conditioning costs in the home.
Mercury-free- no mercury is used in the manufacturing of LED's.
More efficient-LED light bulbs use only 2-10 watts of electricity (1/3rd to 1/30th of Incandescent or CFL) Small LED flashlight bulbs will extend battery life 10 to 15 times longer than with incandescent bulbs. Also, because these bulbs last for years, energy is saved in maintenance and replacement costs. For example, many cities in the US are replacing their incandescent traffic lights with LED arrays because the electricity costs can be reduced by 80% or more.
Cost-effective- although LED's are expensive, the cost is recouped over time and in battery savings. For the AC bulbs and large cluster arrays, the best value comes from commercial use where maintenance and replacement costs are expensive.
Light for remote areas- because of the low power requirement for LED's, using solar panels becomes more practical and less expensive than running an electric line or using a generator for lighting.

GREEN SOLUTIONS

While there are many forms of renewable energy, several technologies have proven themselves as cost-effective, reliable, mainstream solutions in our part of the world. These different technologies can produce electricity, providing heating and cooling, or help lower energy usage. Here is a brief rundown of the technologies that Green Energy Works can put to work for you.
LED LIGHTING
This is the next wave in low-energy and high quality lighting. Because substantial incentives are available for businesses and public buildings, and because these kinds of facilities use lighting for many thousand of hours each year, the low energy use and long service life of LED lighting allows for a good return on investment. Visit our LED Lighting page(below)for more details.
ENERGY MANAGEMENT
By making your building systems greener through energy saving monitoring and controls, a significant savings will occur. We address how lighting, HVAC and other systems operate through a centralized control that allows us to fine tune their operation, and can address access and security at the same time. Learn more about Energy Management here.
PHOTOVOLTAIC
Usually abbreviated to “PV,” utilizes solar cells that convert sunlight directly into electricity. This is what most people mean when they think about “solar power,” because it really is about producing power, as opposed to heating or mechanical energy. Substantial tax and utility incentives make for a very good return on investment for home or business. Click here to learn more about our Photovoltaic solutions!
SOLAR THERMAL
This is the oldest and most basic of all renewable energy technologies, where the sun is used to heat water or air for whatever purpose is needed. Application include domestic hot water, commercial or industrial hot water, and space heating. Learn about our Solar Thermal solutions.
LOW-ENERGY COOLING
New indirect evaporative coolers achieve the efficiency of a “swamp” cooler but deliver the comfort if a chilled air system. Night Sky Radiant Cooling is a technology that take heat created by cooling during the day and send it to the night sky each evening. GEOTHERMAL HP
Because ground temperatures below 10 feet are stable year-round, we can draw heat from the ground to provide heating in the winter and dump heat into the ground to provide cooling in the summer. Because ground source heat pumps access the latent energy or heat-dumping potential of the Earth, they use less than half the energy as electric heating or air conditioning.
